Our Mission

0% Suicide Rate a reality amongst the Asian American community in Southern California

Eastern Harmony Mental Health is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to supporting the mental health and well-being of Asian Americans in Southern California. We understand the unique cultural and societal challenges faced by our community: research consistently shows that Asian Americans are among the least likely to seek help for mental health issues. Various studies highlight several barriers that contribute to this trend, including cultural stigma, lack of awareness, and structural obstacles. We work to change this through education, community events, and direct outreach — especially for young adults, women, and LGBTQ+ individuals who are often overlooked and underserved.

We accomplish our mission through different channels including:

  1. Culturally Sensitive Mental Health Services

  2. Awareness and Education Events

  3. Access to Mental Health Resources

  4. Collaborations with Community Organizations

  5. Summer Internship Programs

  6. Family and Youth Programs

  7. Social Media and Digital Outreach

"We need to change the culture of this topic and make it OK to speak about mental health."
